An independent developer of 3D mobile games is hopeful that his latest app will prove a huge hit around the world.

Daniel Sefton, from Pocklington, who has set up his own indie game development company - TidalWare Ltd - has created a free-to-play 3D virtual pet and gravity platformer game for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

‘Gravity Animals’, which Daniel has worked on for nearly five years, will be launched worldwide on 18 September but was released in Canada last month.

Daniel, 22, is using Canada as a testing ground to give him some idea of how successful the app could be around the globe.

The former Woldgate College student created and released his first app when he was 18, called ‘Urchin’, which has had about 10,000 downloads.
