A TROLLEY dash at a local supermarket was won by a Barmby Moor man, who had his named pulled out of a festive raffle.

Graham Wilcox was the lucky winner of the Sainsbury’s competition which was launched prior to Christmas.

And the chance to dash around The Balk supermarket loading up a trolley with £250 worth of free items certainly proved a lure for shoppers, as more than 2,500 entries were handed in.

Each paying a £1, the money was being donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the staff’s chosen charity for the year.

Meanwhile, people are being reminded that Christmas cards can be recycled with a special bin placed at the front of the store.
