UPDATE: Witness appeal following bank raid

Humberside Police are continuing to investigate an ATM theft from the HSBC Bank, Market Place, South Cave just before 3am this morning (Friday 27 February 2015).

A JCB was used to smash the cashpoint and remove it from the wall. It was then stolen and transported away from the scene in two black vehicles.

The vehicles are believed to have travelled away from the area in the direction of A63.

Three men (aged 23, 26 and 27) were arrested on Rawcliffe Road, Airmyn after they were seen by officers leaving a silver coloured vehicle at around 0324hrs and they are in custody police custody assisting police with their enquiries.

Numerous police enquiries are on-going following the incident, however detectives would like to speak to anyone with information about the thefts and specifically the whereabouts of the two vehicles that left the area.

Police are aware of other similar incidents in the Yorkshire region and are trying to establish whether there are any links to this incident.

The public are urged to remain vigilant in areas where there are ATM’s and report any suspicious behaviour to the police on 101, especially in rural locations.
