Stolen lorry crashes in village

A lorry was stolen from a service station before crashing through a garden wall in a village.

Humberside Police were called at 11.39pm on 4 February following a crash on Church Street, South Cave. Police say the flatbed lorry, with a van on the back, had been stolen from Drypool Service Station, Hedon Road, Hull, at 11.15pm the same night. A police spokesman said: “The incident involved a flatbed lorry with a van on the back which left the road in South Cave and collided through a garden wall before coming to a stop beside a house.” “The occupant or occupants of the lorry made off following the incident. “No one is believed to be injured.” Call police with information on 101, quoting crime reference number 2095467.
