BREAKING: Bank’s ATM stolen with JCB

Roads closures are in place and there is some disrupton to local traffic in South Cave, following the theft of an ATM from a bank.

Police were contacted shortly before 0300hrs today with reports that the ATM at the HSBC bank in Market Place South Cave was being attacked.

A JCB was used to smash the cashpoint and remove it from the wall. It was then stolen and transported away from the scene.

Damage has been caused to the building and the road has been closed with a number of diversions put in place around the area of South Cave.

Crime scene investigators are making enquiries and detectives are conducting inquiries to establish the circumstances of the theft.

Police are asking witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about any people or vehicles possibly involved in the theft to contact Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101 referring to log 43 of Friday 27 February or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
