East Riding Council has agreed to carry out work on a problematic footpath on Pocklington’s West Green, but the town council believes more needs to be done.
The local authority has contacted the town council to confirm that it will slurry seal the footpath near the new doctors’ surgery next year. But at the town council’s recent full council meeting, councillors were not satisfied that slurry sealing would be the appropriate way of repairing the footpath. They believe the camber of the pavement is wrong and say it is “uneven”. They also feel the footpath should have a greater priority than to be repaired next year.
