Pocklington Town Council is planning to meet with East Riding Council officers in a bid to protect the future of the town’s youth centre.
The town council is unsure about the current usage of the authority-owned facility, in New Street, which is no longer a conventional youth club.
At a development and marketing meeting on Wednesday 22 May, members of the town council agreed that talks should be held with East Riding Council to get to the bottom of who uses the facility and how often it is used. They also want to ask for its views on the current state of the building and any repair work that needs undertaking.
