Pupils at Middleton on the Wolds school were thrilled to receive a visit from some of the feathered residents of the ‘Park Rose Birds of Prey and Animal Park’.

The visit, which included six birds of prey bred in captivity, was organised by Middleton on the Wolds Parish Council as part of the ‘Jubilee Year’ celebrations. During the visit, Karl Black delighted his young audience by showing off the flying skills of several of his birds and giving pupils an entertaining talk on their habitat and feeding habits.

All of the children also had the opportunity to hold one of the Park Rose centre’s birds and see them at close quarters.
