Villagers aged 60 and over in Barmby Moor entered the festive spirit and enjoyed a Christmas lunch at the village pub.
The Calley Trust, a charitable organisation based in Barmby Moor, organised two Christmas lunches at the Boot and Slipper pub, which were well attended.
Children from Barmby Moor Primary School attended the events and sang Christmas carols.
The Calley Trust organises a Christmas lunch annually for senior citizens in the village.
Carolyn Haynes, chairperson of the Calley Trust, said: “This is the third year the children attended.
“The people who went really enjoyed it. The children were really enthusiastic.” The Calley Trust, which makes grants to people in Barmby Moor, dates back to the 18th century.
