A CHEERLEADING and baton twirling group are dancing for joy after coming away with several medals at the annual summer competitions in Hull.
The Market Weighton Wildcats entered two teams ranging from three to 14-years-old.
They competed in the baton twirling, cheerleading and streetdance competitions and left with four gold medals and two silvers.
In addition, everyone entered an individual competition and received a medal ranging from bronze to gold.
Clare Adrian, training director, said: “After weeks and weeks of dedicated practise and hours of hard work, the teams arrived excited and nervous.
“Starting with their individuals, every member of the squad received a medal.
“And then it was onto the team events, each dance involved a different costume, hairstyle and make up.
“And they did fantastic.”
