A special event to raise vital funds for health and social care charity Sue Ryder will be held at a Pocklington charity shop.

Next Thursday, from 6pm-8pm, the Sue Ryder shop, on Market Place, will welcome customers to their VIP event.

People across Pocklington are invited to come along and join in the celebrations. The shop will display an array of products from clothing and accessories to music, books and bric-a-brac to tempt anyone on the hunt for something special to buy for a night out or for a special friend.

At the event, Sue Ryder is launching their party wear for the festive season. Tickets are £3 each, available in store now, which includes a free raffle ticket and refreshments. A raffle will be taking place on the evening with prizes from local businesses.

All money raised from the event will help Sue Ryder continue to provide quality care for people living with end of life and long-term conditions, including cancer, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, dementia, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and motor neurone disease.

Michelle Richardson, manager at the Sue Ryder shop in Pocklington, said: “It promises to be a great day for the whole family, with something to appeal to everybody.”
