In total, more than 700 entries were submitted by individuals, community groups and schools.

Three local judges selected the top 100 entries for an exhibition; Capturing the East Riding: Photographs from the Community, and the exhibition will be on display at Pocklington Arts Centre from August 5 to September 22.

Photographer David Contanstine impressed judges with his stunning shot of an orange wave at Kilnsea, and David Geekie, a trustee at Burnby Hall and Gardens, presented him with a prize of a double adult 2012 season pass for the estate.
