As East Riding Leisure Francis Scaife in Pocklington gears up to celebrate its 50th anniversary next month, the upcoming Open Weekend to mark the anniversary has been boosted by sponsorship from two organisations.

Sainsbury’s, on The Balk in Pocklington, has donated £500, as have the Pocklington District Lions, money which will be used to fund the free activities on offer at the sports centre’s Open Weekend. The Open Weekend on 11 and 12 July will offer free taster sessions in a range of activities in the swimming pool for adults and children (with a past members’ gala on the Saturday, and a gala on the Sunday for current members), in the sports hall and on the squash courts. Visit www.eastridingleisure.co.uk/francisscaife for full details of the Open Weekend.
