East Riding Libraries are continuing their successful series of talks from women writers – ‘Between the Lines’ - with a visit from Juliet Barker to Holme-on-Spalding Moor Village Hall on Wednesday 6 May.

Juliet Barker is a distinguished biographer, medievalist and scholar. She is acclaimed for setting new standards of literary biography and is also an expert on chivalry and the world authority on medieval English tournaments. Juliet specialises in the Middle Ages and literary biography. Her previous books include The Brontes, Conquest, and the best-selling Agincourt. Her latest book ‘England Arise: The People, the King and the Great Revolt of 1381’ sheds new light on the received view of the Peasants’ Revolt in 1381.
