Multi-million pound plans to build 77 new homes in Pocklington have been put on hold after going before East Riding Council’s planning committee last week.
The planning application, by developer Barratt, for an £8.3million estate east of Nine Acres, Burnby Lane, was deferred last Thursday after the committee requested more information on provision of affordable housing and highway issues.
Barratt’s proposed estate would include one-to-five-bedroom homes, with up to 19 of these, or 25%, being affordable homes specifically for local people.
The proposed site is referred to as POC8 in East Riding Council’s Local Plan.
It is not yet known when the application will go before the planning committee again.
