It’s been a golden year for a Pocklington attraction and villages in the area in this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom competition.

Pocklington’s Burnby Hall Gardens scooped a Gold Award in the country houses, estates, parks and gardens category for the sixth consecutive year.

Dunnington picked up a Gold Award in the small town category, and was chosen as the overall category winner. Stamford Bridge also won gold in the small town category and a Discretionary Large Community Award. Meanwhile, Pocklington received a Silver Gilt Award in the town section.
