Two actors who will soon tread the boards at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York have paid a visit to a pottery in Fangfoss to see how pottery is made.

Joe Mellor and Lottie Henshall, who are appearing in ‘Ghost the Musical’, recreated the iconic potters wheel scene from the famous film during a photo-shoot at Fangfoss Pottery to publicise the show

Joe and Lottie learnt how to throw clay on the wheel to get a feel for their stage roles. Professional potters Gerry and Lyn Grant were on hand to show how its done at their workshop.

Mrs Grant said: “Half way through the shoot we had some customers who came into the pottery. Their first words were ‘Oh it just looks like Ghost – so the whole performance must have looked very authentic!’”
