Crockery smashing and archery and were among the attractions at a fundraising event held at Market Weighton Scout and Guide Hut.
The hut, off High Street, opened its doors to the public as members of the Scout Association, Girl Guiding and Croft Pre-school, based at the hut, joined together to raise funds for the building.
As well as the scout crockery smash and archery, freshly baked jam and cream scones and tea were other attractions on the day.
More than £1,000 was raised for the hut, which is part way through a modernisation project.
Cub leader Rachel Howdle, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people at the hut, even though the weather was not on our side for the main part of the day.”
Brownies leader Yvonne Brown said: “We had a figure in mind, and this was more than we expected.”
East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight paid a visit to the hut during the event.
The next fundraising event at the building is a wine tasting night on 18 October at 7pm. £15 per ticket. For further details contact Rachel on 07757757426 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
