A Royal visit for camp

ROYALTY will be descending on Leconfield later this month.

HRH The Princess Royal is due to pay a visit to The Defence School of Transport, Normandy Barracks, on Monday, February 21.

During the Royal visit, Princess Anne will meet members of the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines, who are undergoing driver training at the base, which is the largest residential driver training school in the world.

She will also be given a comprehensive guided tour of the barracks and its facilities, which include 16km of road training circuits, 18km of cross country training circuit and five combat woods used for training in concealment and camouflage.

The Princess Royal is the second child and only daughter of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

She undertook her first public engagement when she was 18 years old and has since carried out extensive charity work.
