A club in Holme-on-Spalding Moor has raised £1,000 to help injured British servicemen and women.
Holme Social Club held a fancy dress disco and then a family bingo and raffle to raise funds for the charity Help for Heroes (H4H). Prizes were donated from local businesses.
The club recently presented a £1,000 cheque to Lesley Hodgson from H4H.
Joanne Russell, a Holme Social Club committee member, who organised the events, said: “We had originally set out with a target of about £500, so to have raised £1,000 was absolutely fantastic.
“That wouldn’t have been achievable without the support and generosity of our community.”
