THE fire at a Market Weighton shop destroyed documents belonging to the town council.
Among everything that was lost in the blaze were the application forms from town residents asking Weighton Area Charities for Christmas Grocery Vouchers.

Councillor Keith Lowe, who ran Woodlow Upholstery, is acting as clerk for the charity and had taken the applications to work with him before the next meeting with the trustees.

All previous applicants, apart from very recent ones, are asked to call in to the town council office on Linegate for another form.

To check if the town council has your application call (01430) 871430.
