FLYING man fever hit Pocklington over the weekend as the town celebrated the fourth festival in honour of Thomas Pelling.
Mr Pelling, the Flying Man, died in 1733 after entertaining Pocklington people with his attempts to 'fly' from the church tower.
Activities on an aerial theme included hot air balloons and abseiling down All Saints tower plus the teddy bear abseils from the church and bungee trampolining in the town centre.
Jessica Farmer, one of the organisers, said: We're really pleased with how the festival went and were delighted to see the hundreds of people attending the various events.

We estimate gross revenue of about £8,000, although we're unsure yet what the profit on this will be. We are hugely grateful to the people of Pocklington and the area for their support." Money raised will go to All Saints' Church.
