Flower show date is set

POCKLINGTON Chrysanth-emum Society will be hosting its annual show on Saturday 1 November.
Schedules and entry forms for the 61st show are now available from Pocklington Post Office, Burnby Hall, Pocklington Library or from show secretary Sheila Smith on (01759) 304036.

The show will be held at Burnby Hall and is open to the public from 1.30pm to 5pm when the prizes are presented by the mayor of Pocklington.

As well as flowers there will be handicrafts, flower arranging, wine, fruit, vegetables, cookery and childrens and photography classes.

Refreshments will be available along with a raffle, tombola and cake stall.

The society’s committee are looking for new members to help with the event.

Entries in the show do not have to be from Chrysanthemum Society members and the public are welcome to visit on the day.
