A TEENAGE boy at Hymers College is one of the first victims of swine flu in the East Riding.
Matthew Fitzpatrick, of Beverley, who is a year 10 pupil at the exclusive fee-paying school, is one of two people in the East Riding who have been confirmed as having swine flu by the Health Protection Agency.

The two new cases bring the East Yorkshire total so far to three – after Bethany Barwell, 11, became the first Hull victim to be diagnosed, almost two weeks ago.

She has now recovered and is back at school.

The two new victims, who are unrelated, are said to have been treated with anti-viral drugs and are responding well.
