Car man rallies to raise cash

A CAR run organised by a Hayton man and attended by East Yorkshire MP Greg Knight helped raise £1,750 for charity.
The 11th Classic Car Run was arranged by Guy Lockwood who is a member of the Ryedale and York MG Owners’ Club.

Held at Castle Howard, more than 150 cars took part which helped raise the cash for York Against Cancer.

Mr Knight, who is chairman of the Parliamentary Historic Vehicles Group, was on hand to present the cheque the charity.

The event had been sponsored by Aggregate Recycling in Pocklington.
