THE latest exhibition at Pocklington Arts Centre features new works by local ceramicist Jill Ford, right.
The collection is on show at the venue until 30 May but there’s a special opening on Sunday as part of the town’s Flying Man Festival.

Between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, people are invited to call in at the centre for tea and cakes when Jill will be there and happy to chat about her work.

Other work included in the exhibition will be Landscape Wall Pieces depicting areas of the East Riding. The wall pieces are made by painting with glazes and oxides onto porcelain tiles.

Her inspiration comes from the landscape, in particular the visual effects of water on the Lower Derwent Ings.
