A POCKLINGTON man has been appointed in a top role for an agricultural organisation.
John Tuncliffe has been named the field officer for South Yorkshire for the County Land and Business Association (CLA).
The CLA is the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural areas.
Mr Tuncliffe, who has years of sales and marketing experience, is one of four officers responsible for identifying and recruiting new members.
It comes at a time when the CLA is experiencing growing interest in its capacity to advise and lobby government effectively, on behalf of its members, on many local and national rural issues.
Dorothy Fairburn, CLA Yorkshire's regional director, said: "With CLA membership steadily growing in our region, owing to the number of rural issues faced by farmers, landowners and rural businesses, this addition to our recruitment team is essential for us to maintain our high levels of service and support to our Yorkshire membership."
