THIS year Pocklington Community Junior School is celebrating it's centenary. The school officially opened on 5 February 1908 and 250 children began school on 6 February 1908.
The children have been studying local, national and worldwide events over the past 100 years. They are making a mosaic to depict life since the school opened in 1908.

On 10 June there will be an exhibition looking at the past 100 years in the life of the school. Parents, ex pupils and staff will be invited to the exhibition.

If any local residents have memories, photographs or other items relating to the school for the exhibition, we would love to hear from you. Staff will be compiling the exhibition which will show the history of the school.

All items will be carefully looked after and returned after the exhibition. Anyone who is able to help either by providing photographs or any other interesting items, or with memories to share that can be recorded should contact Sue Yeates on 01759 302224 or email at www.office@pcjs.eril.net
