Re: the plastic bag debate.

MAY I say I do not think plastic bags should be banned completely as they do have so many uses. For example:

1) I always use one to put my packed lunch on.

2) For the past 10 years I have taken a few bags with me while out walking my dog just to pick up rubbish that other people throw away, and the majority I recycle.

3) I use four bags in my shed for my recyclable waste – for aluminium, steel cans, plastic bottles and tin foil.

4 I also use one for my kitchen bin which is designed for plastic bags.
With so many uses, is it not possible to make biodegradable plastic bags which rot very quickly when thrown away?
