Take part in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in East Yorkshire

Fund raisers are urging people in the Beverley area to support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which raises money to support work to help local people affected by cancer.

This year’s event takes place on Friday September 28 when people across the Uk hold a coffee morning and donate to Macmillan.

In 2011, 51,000 people signed up to hold a coffee morning, raising a record £10million.

This year Macmillan Cancer Support want to raise even more money to help change the lives of people affected by cancer.

Crystal Ness, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in North Yorkshire and Humberside, said the charity is hoping that lots of people in the Beverley area will take part.

Money raised will help Macmillan’s team of professionals, including nurses, GP’s, dieticians, social workers and benefits advisors, work to support local people affected by cancer.

Anyone wanting to register to hold a coffee morning for the event can visit www.macmillan/org.uk/coffee, ring the hotline on 0845 6021246, email coffee@macmillan.org.uk or text COFFEE to 88080.
