New Year countdown

The annual New Year’s Eve midnight countdown in Driffield Market Place will be led by the Mayor, Coun Joan Cooper, with music provided by DJ Buck, aka Coun Matt Rogers.

Residents are invited by the town council to arrive in Market Place from 11.30pm to see in 2013.

The police have liaised with the town council and a road closure will be in place from 11.30pm for an hour.

Scrambling will take place on Wednesday January 2 2013 led by the Mayor, Coun Joan Cooper, and the Town Crier, Brian Fairfield.

All local children are invited to meet at the train station at 9am.
