A cookery book by a Michelin-starred South Dalton chef has been named as Best First UK Cookbook in next year’s prestigious international Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

On the Menu by James Mackenzie from The Pipe and Glass Inn will now go forward to compete against other debut cookbooks from around the world, with the worldwide winner being announced at a ceremony on 23 February 23 in Paris at Le Carrousel du Louvre, during the Paris Cookbook Fair.

James, chef-owner of the Michelin-starred Pipe and Glass Inn, said: “On the
