A BURTON Fleming man has been fined £175 for clocking up 39mph in a 30mph zone.
Steven Hill, 29, of Wold Newton Road, was clocked by a police officer using a laser speed detection device travelling at 39mph along Bessingby Road, Bridlington, in a Ford car on May 13, magistrates in Bridlington heard.

The case was proved in Hill's absence at a brief hearing last Friday, during which it was also proved he had failed to produce his driving licence for police examination

Hill was ordered to pay court costs of £40, a victim surcharge of £15.

He was also given three penalty points for failing to produce his driving licence.
